Candle Holder (with a Norse Charm to secure protection for friends in a battle)
I was a OLIVE OIL BOTTLE and now I'm a CANDLE HOLDER!
I was inspired to create this candle holder after hearing a story from a women who had a friend battling cancer. They were close but separated geographically, hence I wanted to create something that would allow her to support her friend from a distance.
This candle holder is enriched with one of the 18 rune-charms mentioned in “Havamal” - a collection of Old Norse poems from the Viking Age. Runes that are used for this charm are SOWULO, ALGIZ and ANSUZ.

CREATION PROCESS: I've created this candle holder out of a olive oil bottle. It was painted with three coats of white chalk paint and two coats of matt varnish. Afterwards I've beautified it with jute string, wood and embedded a Norse Rune Charm to secure protection for a friends in battle
HOW TO USE: Make sure you use non-dripping candles to avoid the damage to a candle holder. Use stearin or bee-wax candles, instead of petroleum-based paraffin ones.
